we will begin reading an independent novel next week....there are lots of book choices in the classroom but you may choose to read your own...if so, acquire a book that would be suitable for the task and bring it to class starting next week

LBGT rights...... end of life issues (euthanasia)..... stem cell research..... education of mentally challenged..... electro shock therapy..... animal rights..... adoption: rights of adopted..... life-saving drugs not available in Canada.... race and racism..... the ethics of scientific interference.... patients' rights.... animal testing.... the role of juries in criminal trials.... young offenders in adult penal system.... genetic testing ...etc... or one of your own choosing .............if you get that far, the first paragraph of your should outline the basic facts of the issue (answering the question: "what is it"?)
